Cultural Center Our concept is to create a cultural center on the bottom floor of the mid tower. From the analysis of Msc3 we concluded that in the upcoming 10 years will be needs of social activities in the surroundings of Merwe-Vierhaven. We also saw that the most dwelling in the surroundings are single users. Our prediction is that in the upcoming 10 years there will be children. To bring the people of Merve-Vierhaven and its surroundings together we wanted to create a social meeting point. A place where workshops, art exhibitions, shows en conferences takes place. A place where different activities takes place throughout the day. For example in the morning activities for children, in the afternoon for the elders and in the evening for young adults. These activities can be cultural or religion related. The following aspects are the reason why we want to create a cultural center: - The biggest part of the Merve-Vierhaven consists of industries and companies - Breaking the barrier of the Schiedamseweg - Connecting the people of Merve-Vierhaven and its surroundings - Connecting Merve-Vierhaven to Rotterdam - Bring progress in social communications in the area
